Two generations ago THRIFT was seen as a VIRTUE. In today's society if has been turned into a VICE. We have all fallen into the trap of wanting it now rather than saving for the good things in life. Flashy cars, designer clothes, hedonistic social life, exotic holidays, home improvements - some term it the "Hello" Lifestyle - of a celebrity culture and values.
BUT ... the British people who have taken responsibility in their life - got jobs, bought their own home, tried to give their children a good start in life - have no protection in our society and when things go wrong in the economy – the first thing under threat is "their castle". Remember the days when an English mans' home was his castle? Now it’s just another pawn of the Wall Street game.
At Brabazon we have always said you have to take full responsibility for your predicament - even if others are to blame - because there is nobody there to save you but yourself. We, however, can give you options to save your home and get yourself back on your feet, and assert yourself when times get better. Unfortunately, we can only see times getting harder.
